Combine elements of neon and LED to create beautiful signs
One of the biggest questions people ask themselves when it comes to signage is whether to choose traditional neon or modern LED. The aesthetics of the first style can’t be ignored but LEDs offer advantages in terms of their very long life. The choice generally comes down to the specific requirements of the client, but what if you could combine elements of both? That is exactly what we have done with our neon effect LED.
With LED light strips you can replicate the aesthetics of the glass tubing seen in neon signs. Each strip is flexible so it can be bent in all kinds of ways to create different designs. Similar to the tubes, strips can be attached together to create larger pieces. It is possible to do this without leaving any black spots, ensuring the light is continuous.
One of the downsides with LED is pixellation. With some products it is possible to see each individual light. This can ruin the aesthetics, particularly when it comes to signs. With the strips that doesn’t happen. There is absolutely no pixellation and the whole strip will glow just like with neon.
The durability of LEDs means that neon effect LED signs will last for a very long time, regardless of where they are installed. They can be used on store fronts, inside nightclubs, in bars, or even your own home. The choice of positioning is yours.
Another big benefit of using LED is the energy efficiency. Neon signs are already highly efficient because no energy is wasted as heat when the light is created. LEDs use even less energy and the brightness of the light can be adjusted to suit different requirements.
A final advantage with neon effect LED is the signs require very little maintenance. This is great for products that will be placed in tricky to access locations or settings where safety could be an issue.
