Feix&Merlin
Feix&Merlin is a boutique architecture studio based in London, run by a set of partners whose work around the UK demonstrates relentless innovation and charm (and their list of clients shows that Kemp hasn’t been the only one to notice!).
Kemp london was approached by Tarek Merlin, half of Feix&Merlin, to produce an infinity mirrored neon glass cube entitled ‘The One’ to be featured within a larger show.
The Kemp team created ‘The One’ by constructing an outer cube made of optically clear glass surrounding a regular mirrored inner cube;, the combined use of a one-way mirror and a standard mirror achieving the desired infinity effect.
Kemp also developed and produced the ruby red, single tube neon lettering spelling out ‘Love Me’ contained within the box. We concealed the transformer in the work’s stainless steel base so as not to distract from the overall effect.
The artwork was displayed at an opening organised by Feix&Merlin, reinforcing to their visitors the hip, whimsical nature of their work.
