Tony Hung / Secret 7”- Planar 1/1

Artist Tony Hung enlisted us to bring to life a design created specially for a charity auction: thePlanar 1/1 project by Secret 7”.

Hung and 14 other artists were tasked with putting their own spin on Rega Planar 1 turntables, which would later be opened out

to bidders in a live streamed auction, all proceeds going to Help Refugees.

The final piece, 3 A.M. Somewhere Out of Beaumont, features white neon in concentric arcs mounted onto the turntable lid.

It will be on display to the public from 4 th –⁠ 12 th November at NOW Gallery in North Greenwich.

This is Kemp London’s second time working to Tony Hung’s designs.

As art director for Blur, Hung came up with the neon ice cream and Chinese characters for The Magic Whip album cover, which Kemp London then fabricated.
