We Work (Neonplus)
WeWork, Waterloo
WeWork was founded in the U.S to lease shared office spaces to tech start-ups and other enterprises. There are now more than 50 WeWork locations here in Kemp London’s hometown, and we had the pleasure of customising the décor for their new Waterloo offices.
Working to their brief, we produced decorative pieces and wayfinding solutions for the interior walls. In some instances we used traditional real neon glass; in others we employed NeonPlus LED.
The London skyline, floor level numbers and dynamic cocktail shaker with glass are examples of NeonPlus, a newer manufacturing technique that swaps glass for acrylic. One of its benefits is that it can be programmed to cycle through display options, as in the case of the ‘tipping’ cocktail shaker.
The Stonehenge scene, brightly coloured Koi carp and bowling text are examples of real neon produced with glass.
WeWork say, “In addition to boosting productivity, a great office space helps to retain employees and attract the best talent”, and we tend to agree.
