YESTERDAY – DANNY BOYLE

Bespoke Kemp London neon can be seen in Danny Boyle’s 2019 romantic-comedy film Yesterday. We were commissioned to produce this cosmonaut from clear red neon, which was then installed on set at the film studios in Liverpool.

The lit-up cosmonaut can be seen here as a backdrop to the scene in which main character Jack defeats Ed Sheeran in a song writing battle. Featuring a screenplay by Richard Curtis and starring Himesh Patel

alongside Lily James, Yesterday imagines a world in which a storm causes a shift onto a timeline in which The Beatles were never formed.
