The proper way to design your sign

31.05.2017

Regardless of whether you’re aiming to start a brand campaign or simply desire something flashy for your home, neon signs will do you proud. Guaranteed to grab the attention of more than a few eyes, the high quality designs that we come up with are some of the best in the business. Whatever your requirements, we shall do everything we can to see that they are met.

There are many types of signs in the world, including the likes of simple display models, and the more complicated and technical neon sign. Signage of any nature can provide big benefits for businesses, but there are a number of design tips that you should follow if you wish for your creation to be a success. The following are some of the most vital tips that one must remember.

First and foremost, you need to determine where your sign is going to be positioned and what it’s purpose will be. Decide if it is to be in the interior or exterior, if it’ll be high or low, or far or close. Furthermore, ask yourself if your sign is better off on its own or amongst others. Everything mentioned here shall influence the design and type of sign that you’ll end up with.

Placement however is nothing if your signs are not readable. This rule is number one on the list and no matter how aesthetically pleasing or well made they are, your principal message loses meaning if it’s illegible. Don’t go too overboard though, as keeping things simple tends to be great advice in terms of design. The ‘less is more’ rule is more important than ever here as having excessive levels of clutter or complexity is a one-way trip to failure. Having too much can make you appear more desperate to your would be customers.

At KEMP London we have had the privilege of creating signs for a host of industries, including the hospitality and retail sectors. With our help, there is much that you can achieve with your own neon sign; all it takes is a little imagination.

If you come up with some ideas for neon signs and would like to discuss specifics with us, feel free to get in touch.
