Netflix – Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Kemp London got the chance to contribute custom-made props to the musical comedy Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

The brief required 11 vast lightboxes which would create a stage backdrop for one of the performances within the film.
You can see the bespoke squares – some freestanding, some hanging – in the scene in which Lars (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) perform onstage to an audience, with choreography that involves them being hoisted into the air.

The movie centres around fictional Icelandic band Fire Saga, whose dreams come true when they’re selected to enter the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Released in June 2020, it was written by Will Ferrell and Andrew Steele, and directed by David Dobkin.

Eurovision Song Contest is one of the latest additions to Kemp London’s expanding film portfolio. Past work includes providing neon signage for Kingsman 2 and Pokémon.
